Alvin Plantinga is the 2017 Templeton Prize Winner

It has been over a century since Friedrich Nietzsche declared that “God is dead.”  Is God really dead?  Well, not according to Alvin Plantinga, a world-renowned Christian philosopher with the Dutch Calvin heritage.  He is credited to be “the man who brought belief in God back into the study of philosophy.” Read more here.

America’s Complicated Religious Landscape

While Pew Research reports that “among white evangelicals, churchgoers are the most supportive of Trump,” it is worth noting that America’s religious landscape remains very complicated.  As Facts and Trends indicates, the question of America’s religious landscape largely depends on where you are. For instance, Catholics hold the highest number in New York City, 34%, and in Nashville, TN, white evangelicals hold the highest number at 31%. Read more here.

Should Christians Be Vegan?

From a secular and left leaning newspaper, it’s surprising to find Washington Post preaching the Adventist Health Message. The author urges Christians to adopt a plant-based diet since the Bible and early church saw animals as our companions and not our food. Read more here.
