The term “proof-texting” receives derisive stares and sardonic snickers more often than not. We can’t be too surprised. A search for the term’s meaning will more readily spit out results that reflect a negative lean than a neutral stance. For instance, Wikipedia, likely the most used and dependable[clears throat] source of information in cyberspace
